Meet Muhammad Tariq

I started my accounting career in Pakistan, where I built the foundation of everything I know about financial management and compliance. From there, I spent years in the Middle East working as a Financial Controller for international companies — managing IFRS-compliant books, multi-currency reporting, and executive-level financial oversight.

I arrived in Canada in 2014. I spent years learning the Canadian tax system from the inside — working with a public accounting firm while building my own practice on the side. In October 2024, I launched Professional Business Services Alberta Ltd to serve Canadian small businesses directly.

The problem I kept seeing: small business owners paying $1,200–$2,000 at big accounting firms for work that a senior independent accountant can do just as well — for half the price. That's the gap PBS fills.
